The History of Custom Wood Machining

The company was set up by our founder, David Lenth, in 2014.

When David started the business, his intention was clear. He wanted to save cabinet makers time and money by teaching them how to make the most of Microvellum.

The Business Expands

Throughout the years, David’s experience widened and he began to build a set of unique casework libraries for Microvellum users. His consulting services were much in demand and he was working with manufacturers nationwide on commercial, residential, and fixture projects.

As the business went from strength to strength, CWM began to develop bespoke manufacturing solutions with the capacity to go beyond the standard applications of Microvellum.

One problem the CWM team came across frequently was that lots of companies struggled with varying workload.  As a result the CWM drafting division was born.

This service has proved to be very popular as it produces drawings based on the customers’ own manufacturing data.
